Default Experience with Batsonstoys in Redditch

Has anyone got any experience with Batsonstoys in Redditch ?

I have ordered a hornby live steam set for my son on
the 7th of december 2008, but I have never received it !
I have phoned Richard Batson (director), I have mailed him,
I have talked to his wife...........
But no result at all.

Phone : we are not available now, please give us your name and phone
number and we will phone you back.
mail : Hello, We will refund you and after I gave him all my credit card
information he mailed me back and said he could not send money
by his bank, but he can do it with his credit card machine, but then I
have to give him all my secret credit card information and this
isn't safe at all.

So I mailed him back to tell that I just have set up a paypal account and asked him whether he wanted to transfer the money it by paypal.
And 2 weeks later no answer, I even can't phone him.

Now I really don't know what to do, I can't communicate with him,
i can't go to his company as I live in Holland and he doesn't reply to mails at all !!!

Has anyone got any experiences with ordering and delivering from Batsonstoys ?

All help is appreciated

I see they sell through Amazon.com but have had no dealings with them.

I would contact your Trading Standards department (or equivalent over there for advice)
and if you paid by Credit Card contact your issuer re non delivery for a full refund (Charge Back).

I cannot see them listed on Hornbys dealers for the Live steam range either.

Their Ebay shop no longer exists even though still listed.
They have nothing for sale on Amazon UK.

Looks to me like they are a failure in more than one way. I agree with John, contact your credit card company for a refund if you paid that way.

Default experience with Batsonstoys

I contacted visa and told the whole story and also showed
the mail from Richard Batson, afterwards they checked my bank
account history and didn't find any trace of a refund by Richard Batson.
So they got the money of the bank account of Richard Batson and
transferred it to my account.
Happy all went well,
