Default Would be nice to have a louder beeeeeeeeeeep

My two previous R75s have had a satisfactory reversing speaker in the front - near the IPK I have recently learned. However my recent and current 02 Tourer has it tucked in the boot, so if any of you attain my great age you have to remember to turn off the heavy metal on the radio before reversing, as it may be difficult to hear. It seems to me I have two solutions - one of them not being to turn up the hearing trumpet, but to either move the boot speaker, if that's possible, or buy a new one like this here or the many used ones on eBay. Has anyone done this, and if so where did you tuck it?

The early saloons use a sounder under the parcel shelf, BMW part number 24658710, I assume the early tourers have the same part? It has two wires going into it. I don't see why you couldn't tap into those and run two wires down the length of the car, perhaps behind the headlining or underneath the carpet, to an extra sounder located somewhere up front. There's a bit of room around the fuse compartment, perhaps it could be located in there?
