Default Bargain DVD. Or not?

Yesterday we were browsing in Sainsburys and Mrs Lowedb saw a DVD that she wanted to see. It was on offer so you got another at half price if you bought it.

So we paid 12 squids for the new version of the 39 steps. Watched it and really enjoyed it.

Once we'd finished decided to see what was on telly for the rest of the evening. Interestingly, BBC HD were showing, yes you guessed, the same film.

Gah!
