Seller on ebay deleted picture/s, including the dodgy brake pipe one.
That definitely makes it buyer beware...

It is his car, He can sell it for what he wants? I didn't want to invest the money in fixing it doesn't mean its not worth the money.
A car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. At the end of the day it is up to the buyer to choose what its worth.

The photo with the swollen intercooler turbo boost hose is still on there, along with the air duct bolt missing, you would need to go over this car with a fine tooth combe, if you were interested.

I have no issue with anyone making a profit, even a large profit. What I don't like is sellers who don't describe things properly.

I don't have any issue with what the car is being sold for, however if you are going to sell a car for £2400 more than you paid for it, then it should be sorted out properly.
And by that what I mean is Not covering rusted out brake pipes with coppaslip Stating it has new shocks fitted, along with a now deleted picture of a front shock which is rusted. Stating it is in "excellent condition" where in reality despite the blurb, nothing has been done to this car which is unusual for any other 75 or ZT with 130,000 miles on the clock. I've met the seller before, no problem, John is a nice enough bloke, who lives in an affluent suburb to the north west of Newcastle. However if asking a premium price for a car bought for pennies, then the work needs to be carried out to a good standard, and it's evident it has been tarted up nothing more. However does anyone see a pattern in who started this thread, the subject matter, and the object of the post Nope? take a look HERE I still wouldn't buy it by the way........I hate silver cars, nor would I buy from a forum "lurker" who posts so infrequently, but constantly scans the cars for sale section while online..........doesn't exactly shout "enthusiast" to me Brian |

If the car was advertised on here, then all members had the chance to buy it at £100.
But obviously some wouldn't want the bother of travelling to collect a car with clutch problems, they may not have the facilities to remove the gearbox (assuming initially that the clutch or slave was at fault), or simply no time to fix it. But someone WAS prepared to get out of his armchair, buy it, collect it, do the repairs, clean it and now put it up for sale. So there's really no point in complaining some weeks down the line, when you chose not to take a chance on it when you had the opportunity.....and someone else is hoping to make a profit And regarding the other possible faults which have been subsequently mentioned, as I've said many times on here, you can't expect a 14 year old car to be perfect and 'as new' when you're paying mountain bike money for it
