If its serial number locked to the firmware of the cable, then thats going to be tricky, and impossible to repair, unless

a) Support is again provided on these
b) we reverse engineer it (not something within my current skill set)

Its a total shame really that, if the vt4 is no longer supported, or providing an income steam for its suppliers, that it could not be made open source to allow futher development

The only part of a (standard) T4 setup that can't be cloned is the DTC4002A. Emulating that in software would be an excellent logterm goal. I have been providing information, packet captures, etc to a very clever chap in the US who is attempting to do this. Will see if that comes to anything.

What a good idea, as I have lost interest in it I will sort out the Visual Studio project and circuit board design and then upload it with licensing removed.

That would be amazing, would be interesting to try and develop it even more to support the other cars.

I'm sure some good brains will be able to help going forwards which will benefit all.

Default VT4 replacement cable

That indeed would be good news if a replacement cable can be produced that will work with Phil’s VT4.

I have VT4, but my cable is damaged beyond repair, despite many attempts I was unable to contact Phil.

Arctic (As always) was extremely helpful in trying to help me source a new cable, another member sent me his, unfortunately it would not link, which is a great pity as I have three 75s!

Default VT4 Replacement Cable

Hi
I would be interested in this project if it comes to a successful conclusion.
There is a dearth of T4's in the Southeast (I'm in Eastbourne) and I would happily buy a VT4 and cable if it was available
Cheers
