I have Avon ZZ3s on my ZTT seem good in the dry and wet and quiet. I am no boy racer though. They are around £110 each.
To me the price is middle of the range with Continentals & Michelins costing £190 each with your budget range Kenda Sunew at £55 each. Avon 225 / 45 18" is my recomendation. "Y"rated to which is about the highest at 186mph. Ed. Last edited by capese21; 16th January 2011 at 21:34.. |

This is a common sight, a large low profile tyre which only really fits a few things ZT, Vauxhall Insignia & so on in a budget form, only v rated and standard load. My advice is get the best you can afford, avoid anything with a name you cant pronounce !!! Really need a W, Y, or Z rated xtra load tyre. My money would be on the Uniroyal RS2 tyre, good in the dry amazing in the wet. Obviously these are not cheap but there are so many internet deals on and "price promise" deals do your homework and you should get a great deal.

I do not like directional tyres for reasons which must be obvious
I use Conti sport contact M3 tyres, £161 fitted & balanced each, from Tyreland recently Daughter has them on her ZT160 also, Nearest equivalent to original OEM tyres imo which are a rediculous price--- Cannot fault them myself--- |

Tyres
I have conti's on my V8 and Diesel tourer. Both have Apex alloys. I tried two budget tyres last summer from Blackcircle tyres. I think they were called ULTRGRIP or something similar. They were terrible.
I run larger tyres on the back than front. 245x40x18's on the back and standard 225x45x18's on the front. Usually the wider tyre is cheaper as it is a more widely used size. I had the wheels reconditioned (Black Chrome) at Lepsons in Kent. They also sell tyres now and got 4 conti 3's fitted for just over £600. Its worth giving Shane there a call. Hope thats of some interest. |

Presumably that's just on the rear of the V8 and not the oilburner?
