It will probably damage the pins in the diagnostic socket.

Save your £30 and have the car on a T4 when you need it.

It looks as if it says 'Auto Reader', but can't see anything else, sorry.
The original price was £79.99, with 264 sold.

Point taken Rich, the only trouble buried away down hear on the South Coast it would cost me more than £30 in fuel to get anywhere near a T4

Modern ones yes, but I think Alf's car will be an OBD2 anyway, will it not?

Damaging the plug is a bit of a red herring, it will either work or not work.

I've done a search and I just cannot find a match for it.

Generally, they all work with the basics - reading codes, allowing codes to be cleared and some can read the live running data and display it.
