Thanks. VERSION TWO WORKED FOR ME.
Just be aware the mirrors on 1999-2001 were changed on the 2002 on totally different mirrors

I note some folks are saying they used the second method, sorry for being thick but ive read through it twice, where does the second method start please

Well thanks for the great guide....I used method 2 to gain access to my mirror fixings and 20 - 30 minutes later I've got a new (well £30 ebay breakers yard) mirror in place.
