Leaking Chrome Trim on Tourer
Hello chaps,
I'm trying to solve the leaking problems with my tourer, it seems to be leaking from the rear chrome trim on both sides and on the tailgate - which I think then leaks into the tyre compartment through the latch. I've been trying to get this piece of the tailgate off to seal up the chrome trim but despite removing the five screws on the edge I can't get it off, so I'd be very grateful for some advice on how to remove it. Here you can see where it's leaking from the trim clips (that's silicon on the first one) but even with all the boot trim off there's no way I can reach them. Since this is such a common problem I wondered if there was a tried-and-tested method for sealing them up from the outside. |
