Master clutch Cylinder to Pipe connection
Posted originally in wrong section :-)
My garage say they are unable to join the clutch master to its pipe without some grommet\washer ? All original rover bits. Any ideas as i'm removing a faulty Tazu and threw away a perfectly good good clutch from the engine donor car. Making 4 that I have been through in a year so far Any suggestions beyond scrapping it......??

That large green bit on the left in the pic below should be on the pipe from the master cylinder.---

Thank you, sorry if I didn't explain the problem very well but its the other end of that pipe that goes into the master is where they are stuck.

What make is the new cylinder ? I presume you are talking about the pipe at the master cylinder end, they should have no problem screwing the fitting into the end of the master cylinder, it is simply a flared end to the pipe and there should be no washers or O rings whatsoever, just like a brake pipe. Or are you talking about the master cylinder pipe to slave cylinder pipe joint ? A photo of the area where they think there should be might help.
