Buyer beware...
As our 75 has now sold and need something more economical.. while searching, my brother came across this.. buyer beware. Advertised with 81k miles yet the last mot in July shows over 121k miles.

81km is equal to 50,331 miles so yes, more than double.

Wouldn't touch it! BUT, I have known MOT testers put the wrong mileage into the computer, and it can only be corrected if done within 24 hours. Do you ever check the details on you certificate? I am always just pleased to get a pass, so didn't spot a mistake on one of mine. Too late to correct, so I always check before leaving the garage now.

When I get the certificate from the tester I do check the details are correct. With everyone having a smart phone and there being a million and one apps available that show mileage and mot history if you had to sell the vehicle at any time it could put a possible buyer off. I understand mistakes can be made but.. this example wasn't just one mot.

And many times in previous years.
It seems the owner only fixes enough to get it through the MOT, often not quite enough! The MOT history is shouting out " extreme levels of neglect" as far as I can see. |
