Boot badge
I would like to fit one of the Rover badges that fit on the boot door (saloon) in its own chrome mounting.
If anyone has a mint condition one, or can point me in the direction of a brand new one it would be much appreciated. How do they attach by the way?

I believe they are quite difficult to get hold of.
I'm assuming you have a facelift model? (the badges are a different design). They are just held in place by adhesive tape (already applied to new ones). Below is an example of a pre-facelift badge but as said, will be a different design to the one you're after: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-75-...gAAOSwNnRYlJ9m |

Yes, i have a facelift but all the badges are now the old type. I do however need the whole lot, the lump of metal as well as the badge.
I will keep trawling the net lol

Post #2 said the link was for a pre-facelift badge so I ordered one because the boot badge on my Cowley 75 was stolen. The badge arrived today. It is a pre-facelift badge but not the right badge for my car. It is the badge that was introduced when they reduced the size of the badge and incorporated the badge into the chrome handle.

The link is for the badge that goes into the chrome boot plinth, not the earlier (pre-project drive) badge that sits separately on the bootlid.
This was probably correct for the OP's requirements (his public profile showing a 2004 car & Anfield-East's car being 2002/03) but the one you're after is much larger. Last edited by mh007; 29th October 2020 at 08:33.. |
