I would scan with T4 / TOAF / PSCAN or whatever to find correct corner.

Check the blue plug that pins have not bent and are in good nick.

Check the cable not been caught in wheel and worn through.

This leaves sensor or reluctor ring. If you have done rear suspension you will have knocked loads of rusty flakes off the crusty rear back plates, these can interfere with signal or get trapped and scrub the magnetic strips off bearing.

If you have fitted new sensor, you will know they are a tight fit and can take force to seat correctly, could it have been damaged?

Was the ABS hole cleaned up and vacuumed to get shut off debris. If you could get the sensor out I would try another known good one.

If you do battery reset I think the light will go out, if it comes on immediately the sensor has failed static test and I would try new sensor, If the light only comes on when the car has moved it could be not seated and the wrong gap to pick up signal.

I did one of mine and the light stayed on, went for a short spin around estate and it went out and stayed out.

Loads of threads with good information on here, particularly Frenchmikes diagnostics with multimeter.

Good thread to pinpoint Static or Dynamic fault.

Default ABS fault

eBay sensors perhaps? I’ve had a couple of dodgy ones in the past.

I take it you have tried clearing the fault codes, sometimes the abs retains the fault even when all is ok.

Thanks for all the replies
Gonna have another look at it after work today if rain stops
In reply if fault is cancelled it comes on as soon as you start moving
New back plates fitted so no rust on hub ring there new as well
The other side is all new as well just right rear is problem.
I assume battery reset is when battery is disconnected ? Is there a specific length it has to be disconnected for ?
I have driven it about 3 miles hoping light would go out
All plugs look OK wires tight in plug

Sounds like the gap may not be right to get a a good signal, or some debris could be interfering with it. May be worth trying another sensor. Sometimes the cheap cheap ones are hit and miss, £8 range. I've had a Intermotor one and an SKV one that have been in the £15 - £20 range and have been fine. It's probably not possible to get it out without destroying it, new ones are always a tight fit and I usually trim the plastic lugs down with a craft knife to make fitting and removal easier. If it's an expensive one in I would check it is seated right, if cheap I would try another sensor.

OK had an interesting afternoon! !!!!
First I unplugged sensors by back seat & compared readings both the same
Next I took right sensor out which either broke coming out or was broken (woo hoo I thought)
New one fitted & discovered if you pull out ABS fuse light go's out (again I thought woo hoo) drove it & light came on dam
So pulled of both discs & check distance from sensor too hub both look the same, pulled hubs off and check mating surfaces all good everything back on .
Yep light still on so either I buy non cheap sensor & try that or find a garage with good mechanic to diagnose the exact fault.

It nay not be.related but on my zt, every time i go to wash any battery acid off the bottom of the battery tray the abs light comes on and stays on until it dries out.Even a small amount of water in that area seems to affect the abs block under the battery tray. Must be not sealed properly.
Could not figure it out until i realized both times was washing the tray out and bith times abs lighfs up.

Not good, these are frustrating to solve. Logically it's got to be the hub or sensor. All the garage will do different is pinpoint which corner. There is a large electrical plug that connects onto the ABS pump, this is under the battery tray and is sometimes worth checking and cleaning as acid from old batteries can leak on to it. Probably not the problem in your case as the diagnostic pointed at rear right. I would get it on TOAF / T4 or any other reader that will properly read the ABS ECU and point you in right area.
