Default Condensation

Desperate too know, what would be the underlying problems with excessive condensation on the inside of the car.

Many Thanks.

Julien.

Excessive? How excessive?

I get condensation on the windscreen, I would say it is normal.

This time of year, most cars will steam up due to the damp (wet feet, clothes etc.) and cold outside. If you have no leaks, then use the air con if you have it. If no air con, heat and ventilation should shift it. It's amazing how little water it takes to steam up a car.

I find it hard to believe your tailgate doesn't leak, my last and current tourers did, as does any other I have seen.

That is a lot of condensation, have you checked properly for leaks?

Do you have your aircon on all the time? It dehumidifies the air reducing condensation.

If you are certain that there is no water under the carpet or in the boot well
then I suggest you buy a couple of the PINGI packs. (Amazon). I have suffered from this condensation for 7 years but, since I bought two of these packs I
have had no problems. They are the type with a colour indicator which tells you when they need to be put in the micro-wave for 6 minutes to dry out and
so far they have worked perfectly for both my son and myself.

Agreed. I leave one on the dashboard and one on the rear parcel shelf whenever parked up and have used them now for several months with fantastic results, No more condensation and the ability to just drive off now without allowing extra minutes with cloths....priceless.
