UBP - A Question for the diesel owners.
From a diesel newbie!
Is the under bonnet pump meant to run constantly? Unlikely, but mine buzzes all of the time. Is this normal, or, more likely, is something knackered? Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk

Hi Bob. If the car is running on tick over yes the pump will be working constantly, some buzz more than others depending on the make, pierburg are the quietest. If it is really loud it may be on the way out, if the car is not running and the ignition is on II then the pump should run but switch off after priming about 60 -120 seconds.

Thanks Steve, you are quite right as mine trips out after about 1min 10secs, with the ignition on.
I was expecting it to prime in a few seconds. Thanks, so it is nothing for me to worry about!
