Captain Tom
I saw a post on Facebook where someone was asking everyone to send him a birthday card.
I argued against it for several reasons, the Royal Mail being short of staff and their lack of PPE, the fact that he wouldn't be able to read even a small percentage of them, and the increased risk of the virus being transmitted on any one of them, with a huge amount of mail to one address. I argued that a donation to his just giving page was a far better idea, I got a lot of bad feedback over my opinion. Any thoughts on this? |

Did I understand that his birthday is the 30th? If so, that is a Thursday, what an opportunity for those who participate in the clapping, to sing Happy Birthday to him at 2005 hours?

Well done Captain Moore, what a good man you are.
I do think however it's a sad statement on our society when a 99 year old man feels the need to raise money to support the NHS. It's an even sadder state of affairs when people mock children, what a society we live in. Thank you Captain Moore for the good you have done, I hope he inspires others of all ages |
