Good morning Jeff, good morning everyone. An early start for you? Are you still in the Goldilocks zone?

Whilst we are in South Africa we are unable to watch any TV such as the Eurovision unless we use our laptops or phones. This is because we do not subscribe to any TV station. Besides that, I have not watched the Eurovision for years. At some point in the future we might get a smart TV for the farm house on the mountain but for now it’s not a priority. Until then we are happy with what we have. Last evening we met up with the cousin who owns the vineyard to discuss the farm and his plans for the future. As you know, every day there are scheduled power cuts lasting from several hours to 12 hours which is something we have had to work around. I feel sorry for people in small business who can’t afford to run a generator or the people who struggle to live from day to day.

On Tuesday we are flying back to Kenya where there are less power cuts and the weather will be a lot warmer.

We are back in the UK at the end of May. Hopefully the Brits will be in for a long hot summer.

Good morning Ian, how considerate of you, thank you very much.

Last month I was chatting with a Consultant Cardiologist about the care I received in Coronary Care from the night nurse who “special’d” me during my stay
In CCU last February a year ago.

The night nurse turned off my “call bell” and spent most of the night asleep. The worst of it was when I needed a bottle for a pee, she was in a deep sleep and couldn’t hear me calling out.

In the end so I didn’t wet the bed, I had to rip off the cardiac leads to my chest, get out of bed and struggle to find someone else who got me the bottle. Whilst out of bed, I used my phone and took a photo of the nurse sleeping in the nurses station. She was a person of retirement age, grossly overweight and was probably pulling 2 jobs at the same time to support her family, but CCU was not for her in my opinion, putting people’s lives at risk like that.

The cardiologist was most apologetic and told me the only way to improve the service was to hear from people like myself making complaints.

So do not hesitate to complain about the lack of consideration and lack of care you have received in not getting the PSA test.

As you know, it’s a useful and important tool in monitoring the response to your treatment.

Have a great day

Stay up to watch it . . . . if it was being performed in the museum next door I wouldn't look over the wall to watch it!

Morning Phil,

How big is your generator ? What can you keep running when it's put into use?

Have a afe flight on Tuesday.
Please pack that sun in your luggage with you on your return to Blighty at the end of the month
