I hope I still have mine for many more years. i have thought many times about parting with my coupe turbo, but this would be very difficult. I think I can see me keeping that for a looong time yet.

Well I'm hoping to live a lot longer than my 75 does
But saying that these cars are enough to see anyone off sometimes

Great post Bob and something I'd not really thought about.
Not sure what will happen to the ZTT, may not even have it when 'the time comes'
Even my beloved Minis have no plans laid down for their future in years to come, perhaps it's time I started contemplating their fate
I know that one of the Minis would be kept by Mrs mininuts, we bought it as a sort of wedding present to ourselves

Your Mini's could be loaned to a museum, still owned by the wife. People could then see to be enjoying one of the best inventions in the 20th century.

This could be a very humorous post.

On the other hand, it depends what part of 'Life's Road' your on.

Are you in the 'Fast Lane', (Tear Ass ), or are you settled in the 'Middle Lane', (Sensible-Considerate ) , or maybe you getting nearer the 'Hard Shoulder' ), waiting to be 'Collected'.

Personally, having been in all three lanes, I would rather be 20 again, and thinking which model Rover/MG to buy.

Might just have to be a '260' variant, then when I go to that 'Scrapyard In The Sky' , that's what probably would have 'Delivered' me there

Default Who Knows?

It's something to ponder for sure, just like when we view the 100 year old cars at shows, they were someone's cars long ago, sweethearts carried in them and adored by the owners in long ago times. I think the best we can hope for is that the cars that survive go into collectors hands.
I think that I'll likely get a 75 Hearse that gets HGF on the way to the Cemetery.
