Have SAIC changed them ? The apparent thickness of the ones in your picture , together with my own good experiences of trading with you , were what influenced me to buy them .

Hello all,
I'll check out if SAIC have changed supplier - I don't believe so, but I'll go digging through our stock and find out if there's any difference between old and new stock. They're all bought through a SAIC dealer, so will be the real deal - and should last accordingly. I'll update when I've hunted through my stock. As always, I'll make sure everyone is looked after and all issues are resolved.

Just to add, it's not the quantity of rubber that matters, but the quality - the Original MGR bushes fitted at Longbridge frequently last many, many years and upwards of 80,000 miles and have large voids either side of the centre mount - picture borrowed from Dr Dave over on 'the other side' of an original but old / knackered bush -
And new MGR / XPart supplied bushes were similar when changed by Dave - I'll also go digging to see when they changed the design, and see if we have any other complaints noted since then - but I don't believe we have. The bushes are designed to have some 'flex' by design - both laterally and in a twisting motion.

Hi Matt. I am afraid I would have to disagree with Dr Dave? as the first photo is not of an original bush in my opinion, but these are below with out a doubt, as you can see I have tried to add photo from each going back to 2011 up to now. 1 2 2012 3 4 2013 5 2014 6 2015 7 Mat also in 2015 a local member came to my home with some lower wish bone bushes you supplied asking me to fit them, these are the ones below. 8 9 10 11 As you can clearly see they have a lot more rubber in them than the ones you are supplying now? 2017 These are a local members also I have a feeling these maybe Unipart ones I am sure when he reads this he may post 12 13 So as above I think Dr Dave's must have been changed before unless MGR decide they would send out cars with different lower wish bone bushes which I also doubt. Please remember this is only my opinion but photo's can not lie.

This all depends on where the bushes have actually come from , prior to Matts possession ?.
either from Saic Direct ? or from an Offical Saic Supplier or someone who says they are ? Or from some middle man who just says they are from either of the 2 above. Suppliers/importers in the far east are not above bending/adjusting the truth regarding the origins of parts or even downright fakery as we all know ! just to rely on a bit of paper is risky at Best and all Uk suppliers have this risk. Sorry but been in supplier quality control for over 30 yrs so seen it all C.

I have to agree with some of the above, but once you receive your goods/products you must be able to tell if they differ from the last know good batch otherwise your business will suffer from items not being up to the job, and this could be no fault of your own other than you have not checked your stock surely. Also if you have a photo up on your web site showing a certain product you expect to receive that product. Example I purchased these below or thought what I had purchased from an ebay seller. 1 This is in fact what I received you can not tell me anyone would miss the difference in them 2 3 4 A lot of difference indeed I would say so down to quality control of stock, I had a full refund on the parts and they did not want the bushes back I wonder why, I got caught out twice like this. But since using the Unipart ones they have been what is shown on their web listing. 5 6

I have a set of these on my shelf which I bought when they were available back then. Never had the guts and time to fit them to my V6 but think it might be the best option next time I need to do the bushes. What are your long time experience with these?? |

I would say the above is the most important point in this instance, because the majority will decide on whether to buy a bush or not depending on its build as shown. The build appearance is the determining factor with this particular item. |

Steve, I could be wrong but I think MGR revised the design of the bush at some point, and that the earlier bushes (RBX101761/RBX101771) had less rubber as per Matt's photo.
I think that the later bushes (RBX101762/RBX101772) had more rubber, like the Unipart bushes in your photos. However, in post#1, the Unipart bushes just purchased show a reduced amount of rubber compared to those in your photo dated 2017 - so they appear to have changed their design. (P.S. ZT's appear to have different bushes again - RBX000221/RBX000231.)

Hi Einar Sadly I am unable to say as I sold my Tourer to which I fitted mine, the others set I had went onto DavyC MGZT T and he left the club and sold his car too, and the very first set that was fitted in the field at one of the nano meets Ron's Tourer that was sold also, so we have no feed back, I do know that when my Tourer was sold again two years after they were fitted & still on the car they had covered about 36,000 miles.
