There are no separate relays as such. The LSM contains 'electronic relays'.

Do you have a sunroof ?

Faulty LSM caused by corrosion induced by damp or sunroof drain ?
Faulty ribbon from LSM front panel to LSM PCB (unlikely but possible) ?

Be aware any replacement LSM will need a T4 session when fitting.

IMHO, it is cheaper and easier to inspect and repair the LSM, rather than replace it.

Everyone is ignoring the obvious one here, it sounds to me like ROW DRL are enabled in the dealer options.

A quick T4 check will reveal

I dont think its DRL as the taillight is also on
It has only just started to happen within the last 2 weeks. Also the lights come on when the ignition is on without the engine running

I have daylight running lights (Scandinavia) on mine. They come on when the engine is started and include the tail lights.

If your lights have only recently started acting this way without any computer activation (T4 or Toaf) then it's irregular and should be looked at. Phil-T4 is on your doorstep, in your shoes I won't even hesitate.

Has anything been changed on the car recently BCU for instance?

I agree a quick check with T4 will reveal the answer, By the way, ROW DRL consist of headlights and tail lights coming on with ignition, but not numberplate lamps, or instrument lamps

Scandinavian DRL are the same, with the exception the engine must be running

Hi,I'm in Northampton near the M1,if your passing this way then I have a spare LSM,you are welcome to try it to see if the problem is solved,at least you will know what to do if it overcomes the fault. Then the replacement LSM would need reprogramming. Regards Ry....

Hi there! Just had an issue during my MOT today regarding this. When the engine is running on mine, the main beams are lit up whatever position the lightswitch are in. The Norwegian regulations says that fog lights can only be used together with parking lights. I am not able to do this due to the DRL setup. Anyone able to shed some light over this?
