Hi Ian, an expensive day? Hopefully everything is working well and ready for next winter.

Hi Phil, It's an expence we could do without but not too bad as He's a retired plumber mate so mates rates it's all working fine now, He's got to get another valve next week to replace the one that's leaking so there's a pan under it to catch the drips for now

The two old radiators were going rusty & were in a bad state so I thought I'll get them done in Summer time when we're not using the central heating. Didn't plan on having to fork out extra for the boiler parts

One of our cats has just gone to the vets as he's scratched & licked a patch of fur off his back the size of a playing card & it's bleeding, I've no idea what's caused him to do that, We cant see any fleas on him & they all get regular flea treatment He'll go nuts if they put a lampshade collar on him

Spaghetti & meatballs for tea tonight with a garlic baguette

Morning all, a strange day yesterday at the hospital. Whilst waiting to be seen in cardiology outpatients, I felt dizzy came on sudden with my vision going out.

Emergency ECG, blood pressure and glucose done. Heart was okay but the blood glucose was very low and the docs said it was the cause for my sudden decline. I had a shot of glucose and ate a blackcurrant jam muffin from the hospital cafe which brought me out of it and I was fine, recovery was quick.

In discussions with the cardiologist he suggested I stop the Diabetic tablet for the heart and resume it at a later date, half a tablet. He felt it was causing the blood glucose to drop.

He advised against me having the abdominal aortic aneurysm repaired in Kenya. and suggested I have the op in the UK as the technology and skills will be better.

Yesterday afternoon I spoke with the surgeon who carried out the bypass in December 2015 and I have made an appointment to see him at a North London Hospital on 24 June. A nice chap who I trust, but he is expensive and I will have to get the op approved by the insurance as everything will be private.

This morning 1 hour after breakfast, I checked blood glucose = 9.0
2 hours after breakfast it was 6.9 and diabetic heart tablet stopped.
Normal range is 4-7.2

On Friday I am taking Jessica into hospital for a gynaecological procedure under a GA, a day case, nothing serious.

Another hot day today at 28C, looking forward to the cooler UK weather for our next visit

I'll bet that caught your attention Phil! I take it you got a blood glucose meter.

After thinking about what the liver specialist said I've cancelled the "camera intrusion". He said that I was only marginally anaemic (which nobody ever said before) and any internal bleed that was bad enough to cause a lack of energy would have been screamingly obvious. He says the lack of energy is more likely down to the low hormone levels, still to hear anything about an appointment for that

Cool

Morning everyone..

Oh! Look! It’s raining, for a change.

The Bear will be off to her new home today. No regrets in selling her. It had to be done. Last weekend when I attended the Frimley meet it cost me over £100 in fuel.

Morning all, morning Bob

£100 for fuel is a lot to pay but for a long run, is it a typical amount to pay? How much does it cost to fill up the Flying Banana?
