Showers rolling through all day here & these fresh winds with strong gusts seem to be more of a pain in the backside this year than ever before, The gusts have been collapsing tall flowers & blowing planters over today

Been sowing some dwarf French broad beans & trimming up my tomato plants in the greenhouse out of the weather for most of the day They're coming on great now.

Put the battery conditioner on the Rover for a day or two as I want to keep that in good fettle, It's easier to drive it out of the garage if I need to get at some stuff behind it than push it out
Roast taters, fish cakes, peas & sweetcorn for tea tonight.

It costs about the same to fill them up it was just with the Bear she drank it quicker. The Bear on a good run would do 26mpg whereas Banana will do 40mpg.

Its been wild here this afternoon, 40-50+mph gusts. Big acer has blown over, tried to get a 2nd stake in to secure the pot but impossible in that wind, trying to hold the acer up and knock a stake in . . . . nah! Managed to hold it upright with rope so I'll have another go at getting the second stake in.

Need a 2nd pair of hands and Ging is nightshift. Its not going to blow over again but its not level, can't pack under the pot and hold it level myself. Add to that the 2nd stake is in an awkward place and without it being level I'm clipping branches with a 4lb hammer, not doing them any good.

Add to that I've torn my right forearm to shreds sticking it among the branches trying to swing a hammer, not a good move when you're on blood thinners and bleed like a stuck pig

Cool

Evening all.

Nice bit of rump steak with a green salad for a dinner.
Washed down with a glass or two, ok the bottle, of white wine.

Bear was collected this morning and is now back in Oldham. Really nice guy, but not keen on his mate. Kept asking all types of obscure questions. None that were related to the Bear.

Good morning everyone from sunny land of the pasty.

Washing is in the machine and a chunk of beef is in the slow cooker.

Off out today.
