Changed mine today as my ECM was travelling back from boot camp ;-) and it's not an easy job but not the hardest I've done. And I'm happy to say that my plenum was all nice and dry.

Default thank you

Just like to say a big thank you as when I took the old filter out the bottom part was full of all sorts of rubbish, which I cleaned out and rodded the water hole to make sure it was clear.
Kind Regards
Billy

Default And it's another big thank you from me

Hi Artic ,
I have only just joined the club but following your 'how to' gave me the knowledge and confidence to renew the pollen filter on my CDTi and I did the spy mod at the same time.

Next I did the same on my 2.0 V6 and on that occasion I didn't even have to remove the ecu.

So thank you so much because without your help I would not have know where to start. I know other have even gone to the extent of removing the wipers whereas you clearly show that as unnecessary. Well done and very many thanks.:bowdow n:

when refitting the brown clip either close it first or make sure the side facing the pollen filter is not hanging down. Its hard to get it back up once clip and filter replaced. alas I had to fight mine as I left it handing down.

A really helpful thread that I have just followed

All the photo editing as now taken place on this thread, therefore it should have no disruption from PB cheers Arctic.
