Default Insurance ncb

Hi folks,just a quick question regarding the above.can an insurance company withhold my ncb if I owe them money?

It was usual for companies to do this - then the regulator stated that they must tell you that they can do it in the policy doc’s for it to be legal.

So suggest you check out your policy wording or contact them to tell you where this wording is in your documentation.

But as I understand it - yes they can - sorry!

As above, my understanding is also that they can, provided it is covered by the T&C's. Even if the point is not specifically covered in the T&C's , it may be covered by a general statement about failure to make agreed premium payments and the impact on your insurance contract.

On a general note, think how likely it is that you could force another party (to a contract) to discharge their obligations if you fail to discharge your fundamental obligation of paying for the service and associated administration actions.

Also, don't forget that failing to make all due payments may under some circumstances affect you credit rating.
