Default can radio code be changed

I have the same model radio/cd (CD413X) in my saloon and Tourer, is it possible to change the 4 digit security code to one of them so they are both the same?
If so, how?

thank you

Looking at the manual online there's nothing about changing the code, only how to enter it or deactivate/activate it.

Yes you can but its not easy...

Open the radio and dump the eeprom contents into a file.
At location address 0x7F8 the security code is stored, so for a code of 5272 the dump will look like F5 F2 F7 F2.
Edit these to what you want and re-program the eeprom.

thank you but beyond me. I'm a nut and bolt person, electronics way above me.

Was hoping it was "press and hold this button then press that" sort of change.

I'll ask around at work see if anyone can do this for me

thanks phil-T4
