1567 divided by 9870 times 100 = 15.87 %..........I think.

Surely if you're only taking it to two decimal places it should be 15.88% because the third......... oh don't bother, I'll get me coat.

Mathematically, as the two original figures are acurate to no decimal places then the answer can not contain any decimal figures either.

So it would be 16%.

I hear the distance cries of "get ya coat!"....

Ah, so there could be decimal places involved - ie the pence. That puts a different light on the accuracy of some of the answers already given above!
