Took our staff on the London Eye last Saturday evening, part of the Christmas do, and had the works - champagne etc. It was a lovely clear night, and seeing London all lit up was really wonderful.

So yes , London is (or can be at least) great!

Did the Eye and riverboat ride last summer on a bright windy day. Stunning views, having lived here all my life and driven through the City and Westminster thousands of times, it is still holds some of the most spectacular views I have seen anywhere in the world. Not that I have been to that many places but the views from some of the bridges and the Eye are unsurpassed IMO.

Default TrafficMaster works!!

Driving South down the M40 late on Sunday night, @ about J11 I got a TrafficMaster alert stating stopped traffic after J10 Southbound ... I needed to get off at J9, so I just clicked 're-route' on sat nav, in hald a second I got a new route which instructed me to get off at J10 and it was all plain sailing ... great stuff!!

Ever since I was a young lad I've always had a fascination with London - probably because of my British rallys.

My goal is to attend the 2012 London Olympics, although I hope to visit before then. Apparently it's only going to cost you 12million pounds - each.

London does get its share of bad press though. The CIA refer to London as Londonistan.
