Water Ingress Spare Wheel Well
Today I was cleaning out the boot and found water in Spare Wheel Well. Checked the boot carpet and found it to be dry. Never before found water in this area. The car is getting serviced on Wednesday and I will ask them to check the underside when it's up on the ramp.
Car has now done 90,000 should I consider getting the gearbox oil changed? I also found the handle that secures the spare wheel is missing so need to replace that Thanks Lindsay |

There are loads of threads with regards to water in boot ,whether its light seals, edge strips, bottom of rear window clips etc.
Also yes get gearbox oil changed another little thing that a lot of people do not do...

As Gary says, loads of information on here. By the look of the corrosion (surface) in your last pic it's been wet in there for a while.
Rear light seals, side chrome strip seals/ fasteners, rubber boot lip seal and rear window seal are all areas where water can ingress but all fairly simple fixes. Do a search and if you are struggling, ask the questions there'll be loads of help. Good luck.
