why the alarm and wipers go off by them selfs

if you have sat nav fitted mg and you have problem with no indcators on dash wipers coming on when car off and alarm goin off the fault may be the boxes in boot under carpet as the boot common problem to leak these two boxs am in foot well and take a hit if this happens to you just unplug them but you will not have cd player if that cures your problem i say go after market with the bmw set up for sat nav kenwood you need to run iso well in simple harness convert from bmw from boot to front there are extended bmw e46 harnnes u can buy but if you cant front one its the cut and add wire passenger side under carpet

I Had this issue as well, but found out it was the SAT NAV causing the issue...Got to the stage where my instrument panel would not show the indictor flashing.

Removed Sat nav and all worked fine.
