The mondeo mount looks good, only thing that concerns me is whether it will be too wide to fit between the mountings....MartynP sorry if ive misread your measurements.

Ive got an old mount in the garage so i'll get it and do some measurements.

To my eye the Vauxhall mount looks too short

Second hand mondeo mount. It certainly looks more durable than the 75 mount. the large bush has a bit of cushioning and the smaller mount rather than being solid looks like it designed to absorb vibration

Default Mondeo Mount

I have ordered one of the second hand Mondeo mounts. At that price it is worth a trial to see if it fits and how long it lasts. It says that it is suitable for the diesel Mondeos. I certainly will not be fitting it in the present climate though! I failed to notice that it says 'make an offer', could have got it cheaper.
EDIT: I have copied the dimensions given by Martynp and will compare with the Mondeo one as soon as it arrives

Interesting info to be viewed on a simila thread started by workaholic---referred to by T-Cut earlier. Now running to 3 pages with pics
Contains additional info---well worth a read, seems component is same size for both Diesels & petrols but bush is made from different composite rubber,

Default Mondeo Lower Mount

Further thoughts on the Mondeo mount while I await delivery. The pics show that it doesn't taper like the 75 type, and, of course, it would be a miracle if the centres are the correct distance apart. It could be possible to fit with packing washers etc. Time will tell.

Rover 75:
- center to center: 120 mm
- front bush (engine) length: 32.5 mm
- rear bush length (body): 65.5 mm
- bolt diameter: 12 mm (both)
(the space they fit in might be slightly wider than the bushes lengths, but not much)

This discussion started with enquiry relative to the diesel engine.
Assume your measurements are for that 75 engine

So we now have the sizes of the lower engine mount for both petrol & diesel.
See my earlier dimensions for the ZT160 which I would expect to be the same for the 75 2.5V6.

Any luck yet with your searches for alternative source of supply fellas?

Default Mondeo Mount

Received the s/h Mondeo mount today after long delay due to some snow! I find it quite impressive. The two rubber bushes are vulcanised to the housings at the top and bottom like the 75s but the large end bush also has horizontal rubber buffers which allow the fore and aft movement but stops the vertical joints from being flexed too far. The 75 does not have these which is probably why they split. The only way to see if it can be modified to fit is to offer it up of course but not in this weather.
Measurements are:
centre to centre...............122mm
bolt hole diameters............12mm
Overall thickness (large end)56mm
" " " " " " " (small end)47mm
vertical o/all diam across the bolt holes
large end..........................80mm
small end..........................55mm
It cost me £23.0 and is in excellent condition so, if it can be fitted it is well worth a trial.
From memory it is the width (thickness) of the two ends which may need modification.

Martynp, the dimension of our petrol and diesel models should be the same. It is the rubber which is different.
