how hot does your V8 run ?
been driving mine for a few months now.
The in car temp gauge goes to a fraction under 1/2 way, is this normal ? The car's engine fan kicks on & off all the time, does not seem to matter if car is in traffic, blasting along empty 'B' roads or constant Motorway speed or if AirCon is on or off Cheers |

Same rules apply to the V8 as the other models with Aircon on the fan should be permanently on
My gauge sits just a wee bit below halfway rising to just on half before the fan is engaged for engine cooling. Even on the mighty V8 these fans make an impact the tickover stutters for a split second due to the alternator load as the thing switches on and off I wonder what that equates to in MPG! |

With air con OFF and plenty of road speed your fan shouldn't be coming on though as engine should be getting sufficient cooling not to get an ON command from ECU (right Keith??) How do you know the fan's coming on when blasting along, Ive never been able to tell (thought of adding a lamp)!
