I wonder if, the unit is receiving a signal from the car which makes it think you are in reverse all the time? Could the 'back radar' (or whatever wire it is called on the DD) be shorted to ground?

That would be enough to make it stay on the rear view camera mode I would imagine.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I checked all the wires and everything seems fine. After looking through the forum I found a reference to a glitch when getting a white screen after reboot that Sean posted but that was a glitch that was resolved before manufacture I think so likely not related.

I would really like to try and download a new copy of iGO and try installing on a spare SD card to see if it is the card that's causing the problem but cant find a link anywhere. Does anyone know what happens if you remove the iGO SD card and then switch the unit on? I have tried but nothing happens so thought if the card has became corrupted then the unit has nothing to boot from so is going in to reverse camera mode (although I don't have one).

I decided we are just going to stay close to our cabin and change our plans around for the remainder of the holiday. We are able to follow the people in the next cabin along to get fuel and basically are just finding out where they are going and then following there and back. I should have brought a back up Satnav or even a map. All maps in the petrol stations are in French and I can only kind of speak French but I am useless at reading it. And after we go lost today down a track that would challenge a Range Rover in the ZT I don't think my Wife wants to do it again Plus its our first family holiday for 3 years so I think everyone's just happy that we are all at least together and doing something.

Cheers,

Liam.

It's nearside (passenger side) on both my non-diversity ZT, and the diversity ZT i removed all my HK stuff from.

Liam , We can Send you a Download Link , No Problem.
I Want to know please, are you able to use Radio, DVD , CD?

The Word BACK Means that you are in the Back up mode when you start it.
It should be defaulting to Radio. Can you get into the GPS Settings? I sent you the Program Download.
Do you have another SD Card there ? Blank ?

Hi Sean,

No nothing works at all, it just sits on the black screen with 'back' in the top left corner. After I connected it all back up again I just got a white screen. Then after about 1 minute I turned the car key off and then back on and it went back to the black screen again.

I thought it might be the car that was corrupt or something but I am unsure if the units run without the card as I have never removed it and ran the unit. I think I might be way off and its something more serious.

I have a laptop and can now get some access until 6pm tonight to download the files and have a spare SD card with me to out of a Nokia phone.

Cheers,

Liam.

PS. I'm replying by both email and forum as my access changes throughout the day. I can get email on my mobile but struggle to load any pages. I managed to get laptop and internet access until 6pm and might be able to extend this.

Hi Sean,

I'm now pretty much out of ideas and have exhausted everything I think. Can you advise if the factory can help or if not what I now need to do to get it fixed from your UK based place. I'll be driving from south to north on Saturday/Sunday on way back from France so could always drop in to the place?

Cheers,

Liam.

Ok, Thanks Sean. Hopefully the factory will have an answer and save me having to send it. It's going to be a boring drive back to Sheffield with the family asleep and no music to listen to. Even worse the Xmas drive around the UK to family!

Cheers,

Liam.

Hi Sean,

Have you heard anything from the factory yet?? I left our cabin yesterday and after about 1.5 hours the unit screen went blue then turned off completely. My wife pressed the power (nav) button and then it just started up as usual, it worked all the way home back to Sheffield (arrived @ 2am) even after a number of stops, including the 90 minute ferry across the Channel.

Then when I got in the car this morning at 10am the screen was just blue and fuzzy then it went back to black screen with the word 'back' in the top left corner again. Its all starting to get a bit frustrating now, especially as its Xmas time so eveerything is going to slow down anyway!

Can you let me know next steps please Sean. I want to get it sorted as soon as possible. Do I need to send it away for repair and wait for that to be completed or will a new unit just be sent out? Not happy about having to have a whole in my dash TBH. That is if the factory has not advised of what to do?

Cheers,

Liam.

Hi Liam

I have been hounding and my agent calls 2 times a day, nothing from the engineers as of yet. Well that is SORT Of good news. I am consulting now with our tech But, I think that I know the issue and it will have to go to our warranty repair . If it is what I think....It can be fixed quickly and returned. The good news is that I believe w can fix it in the UK and get it right back to you. We will cover return shipping and repair costs.

Sean
