I don't know how the cold start/choke system on the petrol engines works but that is where the problem lies.--

Hi. Yes, it's as if the choke is on. Would it be lambda? I've already replaced the coolant sensors.

Pete.

Do a IACV reset, see if that helps.

Did that last Saturday. Set it up with T4, then did the reset, 5 presses of the throttle etc.

So, update, kind of, New plugs, new HT leads, new coil packs and it's still the same :-(

Will the car run OK with the LAMBDA unplugged ?

it may be worth checking the Timing Belt is not a tooth or two out of alignment.

I did the cam belt change about 3 years ago and it has been fine, it's only been playing up for a couple of months.

It's definately a fuelling problem, a sensor problem, something is telling the ECU to inject a bit too much fuel in. The only thing I can think of now is the LAMBDA, but which one ?
