Overcast and dry here at the moment, not for long me thinks! got people in laying block paving, don't think they will be here for long once the weather sets in from the East.

Well - so much for my quiet day after a very early alarm clock this morning (5.50am). SWMBO has now convinced (ouch!) me that we need to:
  1. Go and pay for the wedding flowers
  2. Return a pair of new trousers she bought on Saturday 'cos they're far too short

...... a total round trip of approx. 60 miles - and there's nowt in it for me

60 miles! and no pork pie Rod!!! That's a overnight stay for me

I thought I was hard pushed this morning! my sister rang and said can I pick her & dog up from vets as he's not too good walking back, then Dad rang! can I take him to B&Q for some more potting compost & plants.

That wind ain't half getting up, chilly too & a lot of the taller plants were blown over plus the majority of them were dry as a bone.

I had the battery maintainer on the Rover for just 4 hours this morning & it's settled to a floating charge so all's well with the battery.

I put the new SSD drive in a old 2010 HP xw4600 workstation with 8Gb Ram and it's very quick now, like a new machine . I tried some new apps on this new Ubuntu OS for downloading pics from the camera, Rapid photo downloader is much better than Shotwell I used before, just a bit of a learning curve where everything is.

It got worse -I was conned into paying a visit to the Aquatics centre while we were out. Ten new fish and a load of fish food later - and I'm £26 poorer
I therefore demanded - and have just been given - bacon and mushroom butties for lunch
