Default Project launch car.

Having brought a launch car from Steve(whitevanman) i thought i would start a thread on progress, from the start to completion.
Also looking please for advise on specs on the launch car , what options can be fitted whilst keeping it `correct`.
I have been told that the hk system was an option, not a fan of crown wheels tbh so were serpents an origonal option.
Were the door finshers an origional option or not?? , and what about hid`s??

I would like to change it a little , but with only origional options , to keep it right

Pics to follow at the weekend. Airbag and coil spring first.

Yes the serpents, door finishers and HK were all original optional extras, HK being a factory order.

HIDs were just a glimmer in the marketing guys eyes at that stage though, so a no no if you want to be purist.

You could retro fit parking aid and dipping mirror if you wanted, but that would remove the unique spec of these launch cars

Just a thought, as the launch cars were built to a certain spec and sent to dealers, rather than being to customer orders, then surely factory-fit options were not available on them and only dealer-fit accessories would have been, as the cars were all at showrooms before the public could buy them?

Unfortunately that would restrict the OP to dealer-accessories to keep it absolutely 'correct' but I don't see any harm in adding a few factory options.

Andy; dealer launch cars are special. If you want to customise a 75, please do it with something else.

This link shows todays paintwork improvements . Pleased with the outcome.
Old paintwork can be seen in steves link.

Also replaced the drivers side broken coil spring.

Managed to add the pics to the thread with the help of aimonkey (lovely, if not sometimes a tad moody teenage daughter)

Yeah, leave my car alone TBH I think period stuff would be fine, He (His name is 'Sky' Andy, Blame the wife ). Came with the PDC, looked factory fit to me and I know for sure that the launch car I had for 24hrs back in 99 defo had a HK sound system as I was a bit disappointed when my 1.8 Connie didn't sound as good. I think HK & Serpents would be fine..

Nice work, Is this a repaint or a clear coat, I'm never sure on paints with lacquer on them

Dont panic guys
No xenons , no double din , no mg7 flaps, just period stuff.
Wanted to see if hk and serpents were an origional option.
As i WANT to keep it as it should be with only correct additions if any
