I'd get some ointment on that Jeff.

Afternoon all - still a bit damp in Norfolk I'm afraid, so we're having a "stay at home in the caravan day" today - eat, drink and sleep for the day.
We had a fantastic day yesterday, thanks to Jeff for the afternoon on Lady Emma which was a refreshingly new experience - and I even got to take the helm (note the nautical language there ). We then had a great meal, in brilliant company with Debz, Andy, Pete and Jeff, in the Acle Bridge Inn.
This was all rounded off by a 'different' drive back to the caravan site - thunder, lightning, rain which varied between a drizzle, a shower, a heavy shower - and torrential stair-rods, all topped off with enough lakes on the side of the road to test the non-aquaplaning capabilities of the tyres
We were back and in bed just after 11.00 - listening to the pounding rain and bits of tree branches hitting the roof of the 'van.

Poached egg (s) on toast for me (and a drop of cider) - well stuffed last night
It finally seems to have stopped raining here - and the wind has died down too - are we in for some better weather?

Evening all, It rains a lot here in this neck o the woods but this stuff is on a different level, it's still hammering it down from this morning and according to the local weather forecast it's here for six more days.
Tea was good Andy I've just raided the swilly stores & I'm just having a scotch n water and a bottle of Henry weston cider as my missus has bought me eight in the shopping I'm scared to ask what this will cost me in the long run

They never turned up to collect the wardrobe I fear it will have floated off before tomorrow as the front gardens are under water now.

Night all been a busy day, stayed dry though, despite the forecast. Tomorrow supposed to be very wet, but working indoors tomorrow. Off to Chester at the weekend, with the caravan, to move daughter out of her uni digs and back home. Those 3 years have flown by.
