Default Lower ball joint question

Chaps, anyone know the approximate size of the rubber cover on the lower wishbone balljoint which connects to the hub?

I've tried measuring it but they're compressed while fitted on the car and I don't have the option of taking it off to check. I need the car operational to get me to work.

I might* have managed to split both while changing front struts...... I really don't want to change the wishbone as they are in good order (and expensive!).

There are sellers of these boots but they come in different sizes so would like to order the right ones.

Rimmers did kits but appear nla.

Stewart,

Will it help you judge the size if you jack up the car so that its weight is no longer supported by the suspension?

The above boot number 4 is a perfect fit - I have them fitted to our car.

Dimensions are at the top of the page.

Simon
Good idea Simon but the ball joint rubber remains compressed until the joint is parted. Hub from wishbone. At least I know the bolt will cone out and the joint will part!
