Big trip home starts on wednesday, so we'll see how she fares over the long run up to the north of spain. Then through france...then through england and back home. I'll be doing around 75 mph most of the way on motorways, but of course it's all uphill from spain to the uk
39.81 mpg

Performed probably the last oil change of the ZT's life

I'm not at all attached to this car, and if it fails it's MOT in eight weeks or so, it's off to meet it's maker.

They all have to die in the end, and I've another car which I far prefer to a smelly old stone crusher.

An unrelated question if I may. I have used the Manage Attachments facility many times on my posts adding .. "attachment" images. You have clearly done that as have others but, in addition, a full sized image appears embedded in your text. How does one achieve that. Previously I used both Photobucket and Tinypic to embed images ... cannot do that now those image hosts have changed their policy of stopped operating.

Thanks in advance.

By the way, if that car is bound for that scrapyard in the Sky, will there be any useful parts to enable others to continue in good health?

Decided I had a couple of hours to spend having a look at the ‘silver one’ this morning. Decided to have a look for the broken spring my son said it had got on the rear. It’s not on the near side. So I did a bit of rust removal on the upper arm, and wire brushed it before, just for the time being, sprayed it with WD40. Seems to be ok for the time being, but will have to fit two rear springs when I get the other side looked at.

It's fairly easy John, you open the attachment, then right click on it and head down to where it says copy image address and click on that.

You would end up with something like this if you simply pasted the copied link into the post https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/a...1&d=1571694634

However what you do next is the trick

Click on the symbol on the tool bar, and you will be prompted to enter the URL of your image.

So if we paste the URL of the image we copied before, into the box, we end up with this...........

Give it a try, it's quite easy once you get the hang of things.......

You might even recognise this one

Many thanks Brian. I'll follow those instructions and see what happens..

Yes, I do indeed recognise the rear end of my TomCat Turbo ... which I sold/exported to a Rover enthusiast who lived in the EU over ten years ago ... he extensively had it restored to a fine level ~ sent me pictures ~ then some plonker wrote it off!

Just tried that ... failed miserably. Back to the drawing board. ..

Invested in a pair of nice Pirelli ice and snow tyres yesterday.
The tyre shop tried to sell me a set of 4 but at over $1000.cdn
there was no way. I'll have to make do with the snows on the driven wheels and
leave the all weather tyres on the back.
With the small amount of snow we get that shouldn't be an issue.
