I’m a bit relieved, on my routine driving I’ve been driving over speed bumps without my usual trepidation, and it’s worked! Fuel gauge is now reading a realistic level, without me having to go pulling out stuff under the rear seat. I’ll be careful not to overfill the tank again (as that seemed to cause the problem).
