Door loom entry point - rust.
Hi all,
Has anyone come across rust around the entry point for the wiring loom into the car from the front doors? My car seems to be affected on both sides. I'm hoping it's a relatively easy job for a body shop to fix! Sent from my KB2003 using Tapatalk |

If its surface rust Tim, then a rub down treat and paint will suffice, if its eaten away I would cut a repair section from a scrap car and have your bodyshop weld them in for you.

I have seen a few with rust around the point the grommet enters, but none to the extent where its eaten it away!

Do you have a sunroof Tim, if so it could be a failed drain pipe allowing water to run down the inside of the A pillar.

If they had failed where would the water end up? The interior is now staying totally dry (I had all the interior out for a few months to make sure there was no moisture getting in anywhere!) Sent from my KB2003 using Tapatalk |
