Default Speedcam voice alert

I pressed the satnav reset by mistake today on my wince6 dd.
Although I have recovered my maps etc, the voice alerts for speedcam warnings are not working. I have attached a couple of screenshots, if you wouldn't mind having a look, what's wrong?
Cheers, Tom.

Managed to get the speedcam audio warning back, but only the English female voice. The English male voice doesn't work?? although its on the list. Suppose I will just have to make do, as usual.

Give Sean a Pm,

He should be able to send you the voice files and you can install it to your navigation card on your PC

Thanks Jeff I think I have all the voices saved somewhere on my PC, but I'm actually getting used to the female English voice and I think I prefer it. The dreaded siren at camera locations is a lot quieter too.

Regards, Tom.

I think that the noise that the din that the unit makes when speed cameras are about is a real pain!

You can switch it off by going to the file "sys.txt file".
It should have:

[warning]
speedcam_enabled=1
speedcam_warning=1
speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=10

Change the speedcam_warning from 1 to 0.

That will get rid of the bleeping / twittering sound

Phew! THANKS! going to do that as it really is too much!! (You can stop it as soon as it starts by clicking on the speed icon but you do need to keep dismissing it each time!)

Cheers

Make a back up of the card before playing with it.......Just in case

Worth noting that Bob was talking about the Igo8 WinCe navigation software and NOT the Primo Android navigation software .
Quite possibly the same but I haven't looked myself

Thanks Jeff - yes, I would make a backup as a matter of course. I will report back if successful.

Best

I can confirm that I did this with my Navall III and what stopped was the bleeping/twittering sound associated with being close to/ exceeding the posted speed limit. Which was annoying. The bleeping/twittering is there for the speed camera still - but I think I saw an option in iGo settings to have just visual no audio warning for speed cameras ... might try that ...
