I can believe that, also cheaper on road than a drive. There's a chance you will reverse off a drive into flowing traffic, or hit a pedestrian.

Ours was around £300 last year, mthen the renewal cam through for this year, £514,,no change in details from last year at all.
They got kicked in to touch. I rang and complained, they said they would give a 25% loyalty discount, I asked why they couldn't apply that automatically, operator said its company posted policy not to.
They eventually reduced it again , but not enough and put the excess upto .£250.
So I shopped around and got it for less than £300
Same thing happened with the van, price was £440, so I told them I had a cheaper price ,over £200 less, they asked who with,so I replied " yourselves", end result was they beat their own lowest price,so I scored again.

LOL It's going worse Aviva wanted £1005 this car is a stock Rover 75 Connoissuer SE 2.5. Never had a point on my licence, never made a claim in 44years of driving. I just don't get it! I think I'll give it a rest for today as my fuse is getting rather short now or I may give the rottweiler a go (the missus) to see if she can get any better joy.

Just makes sense to me.
For me it's more expensive to put the OH on as another driver. And she doesn't want to drive it anyway.

Why is this particular model of that age worth repairing whereas ours aren't? He is insured with Axa.
I guess its because Audi is still manufacturing cars John it seems unfair I know but that seems to be the way it is sadly.

It gets worse. Just tried a multi quote with Admiral for a cdti and a 1.8 ZTT. £898.63 I have been quoted £389.92 with Privilege with no NCB and with the 160 I am paying for the 75 it will be cheaper to go that way.

LOL I'm beginning to think she has, I've just done an online quote with Lancaster insurance & they want the sum of £1858 Yes no joke. I'm the sqeakiest clean driver on the road but they throw these absurd insurance quotes at me. I couldn't find the button to tell them to go forth & multiply.

This just shows what a farce insurance is.
How can a V8 be cheaper to insure than a 1.8T? Madness!

Just goes to show that they just make it up.
