That is terrible news Simon, condolences to his family and friends.

Never take life for granted, a mate of mine who I worked with for 10 years was diagnosed with a brain tumour, he died a year later. He was only 43 years of age, had two young children.

He was a very clever chap, super intelligent, but he would always complain of headaches. If only he got checked-out earlier, he may still be alive...

None of us are invincible.

Sorry to hear the sad news Simon.

My son who is a keen biker had a serious off just last year on the hottest day. He said to me later, “Dad you won’t believe just how lucky I was”

He had very minor injuries and his practically new bike was repaired by himself within weeks.

We worry every time he’s out but life goes on.

Ah that's simply awful Simon

I've lost a couple of good mates to motorbike crashes, and hearing news like this brings the memories back to the forefront of my mind

Deepest condolences, there are not enough words to convey the feelings I'm afraid, but try and remember the good times.

Having played the game myself with off roaders, I know how easy it is to do serious damage to yourself, from a minor off.
I didn't take my motorbike test until I was 31, by which time I had seen a few friends come a cropper, and again how easily you could get bitten by the bike.
I'm pleased I wasn't allowed one in my youth, or I would have ended up like the others.
Obviously in this case the poor man was riding sensibly, and the other road user was at fault.
The trouble is with motorbikes, once you have had one, and enjoyed it, the thrill of riding one never leaves you, they are addictive.
