Can I ask why the photos are blocked.

It's been quite a while since I used Photobucket, do I need to update anything ?

PB, in their infinite wisdom Jim, have decided you now need to pay to use their services http://photobucket.com/pricing

I use Chrome for a browser, and if you right click on Photobucket's 'ransom notes' it gives the option to 'open in new tab'.

But I did save this a long time ago with the view to print out as I was planning (still am) to do this work myself, once I have gathered the bits and pieces.

Maybe the PDFs will help to save Jim from having to redo all the links. Please remember all credit goes to Jim for this incredibly useful (and in my view) important How To.

I cannot upload the 'How to' version as it is too large (9.2mb). But I have the first two pages of this thread though.

That sucks ! Well I pay enough as it is for internet services, so I'm sorry guys for the time being what will be will be.

Interesting to read through this topic again.

Believe it or not I did a very similar job on my V6 Connoisseur. After getting the components sandblasted I found the rear arms were perforated so I replaced them with new ones.

That was just over a year ago and shortly after the car going back on the road, complete with new timing belts and the usual thermostat work I replaced the front end with new spring assemblies.

I just got the car through its MOT last week with no advisories and the guy commented on how good it was underneath. My V6 has just under 58k and although I only covered around 3k last year I enjoyed every mile.
I still compare the comfort and a few other aspects above that of my Jaguar XF.

At least the Rover doors are still intact whereas the XF is going in next month to get all four doors replaced.

Default Thanks to cif & Jim Jamieson

Links in PDF from cif to overcome Photobuckets ransom demand are much appreciated and, of course my many thanks to Jim for the original 'how to'.

I received a nice e-mail from “Blackrose” today.
He is now running my wife’s former 75 Connoisseur and this week he tells me he had to replace the battery after just “five years”
Other than a few brake replacements, front engine pulley and tyres that’s been about all he has had to replace and is still delighted with the car.

He has also updated me with his “story” about life with the car which I much appreciated.
As far as I’m aware the car is currently in Spain where Blackrose spends some prime time.

In return I’ve updated Blackrose with car history.

Pity about those darned photos disappearing yet again

Thanks for the end of the story. Just viewed most of your thread using Google Chrome and an extension called photo bucket fix - crystal clear.
