I've always thought of myself as one of the youngest Rover owners but, now 27 years old, I'm not so sure!

The years are flying by and my cars are ageing far better than I am.

I joined when I was 10.

Oh I wish! I’m 50 I’m September, my old dad was a mini man (needs must with a young family) then a Ford man but I did a YTS in 1989 at Austin Rover and sold hundreds of R100s R200s and R400s plus the spread of 600 and the odd 800.
The 75 I bought to sell on had me hooked. Enjoy these cars as they won’t be around long I assure you.

My son was almost 2 when he first started showing signs of being a Rover fan (my dad had a Rover 214sei and my son loved it) - he was sat on his grandad's lap at 2 years old trying to steer the Rover round a field.

When my son turned 7 or 8, my dad stored the Rover in his garage for the time when my lad could start to learn to drive - bit premature though, and the car had to go a few years later due to engine issues - shame as it was in great condition otherwise.

Now at 18 (and an apprentice mechanic) he's an MG fan - who drives a mini...

If insurance prices were sensible, he would be driving a ZT. Instead he's saving for an MG6 later this year.

I'm 35 now and first joined the club when I was 26 and owned my first ZT.
