Default Car Shows

What lovely glorious sunny weather, but there are no car shows to attend.

July would have been Sherborne cars at the castle, and August would have been the annual MG garden party and picnic at Althelhampton House, so I thought I would find at pic from last years meet.

Roll on next year.

Cool

Athelhampton House has been sold. So not sure whether the MGOC event is still on.
I知 not bothered about not many meets to attend, I知 happier pottering about in the garden.

Hi Bob, Yes it's still on, was booked for the 9th August, but now cancelled due to the covid situation, a real shame.

Make a note in your diary for next year Bob.

Sad to say but it looks like this year is going to be a complete wash out as far as shows are concerned , these shows are some of the highlights of the year for me

I agree, how long is this new normally going to last?

What will next year bring is anyone's guess.

A few shows are going ahead, with limited numbers attending.

Took SWMBO's Freelander to a Land rover/Jaguar gathering at Gaydon on the 1st.

I'm so jealous, so many of you guys attending shows, that's great news.

I've not heard of any down here in my neck of the woods.

Beaulieu is in your neck of the woods, just over 340 mile round trip ride for me. Simply American is a Sunday only event, so I will go Sat and ride back Sunday after the show. Usually go for a bit of a joyride Saturday afternoon, and do over 400 miles. When I take part in the Hot Rod and Custom Show, I go Friday, and return Sunday after the show, and do around 500 miles. If American is your thing, tickets have to be pre booked online 」25.

I usually camp on site if it is a weekend event, but as the event is Sunday only, there is no camping in the grounds. The only camp site within 10 miles that is open is full, trebor is coming with, he managed to get the last twin room at Chilworth Manor just 18 miles from Beaulieu.
