Default ATC Panel Switch Contacts

The buttons on my ATC Panel have to be pressed quite hard to operate. Can they be cleaned in the manner of the window/mirror switches?

Is that all of them Gary? Is it possible that they're physically rubbing against a slightly misaligned escutcheon?

It seems to be all of them so it's possible if it can be out of position.

has it had the "wooden trim" stuck onto it?

If so check the clearance around the switch holes.

It has, yes. But the buttons push in very cleanly with no interference from the added trim. They just don't do anything until finger pressure is increased fairly substantially.

Now there's a funny thing. On sitting & actually running through the functions methodically, l find they nearly all work ok, bar the fan downspeed which does need increased pressure to function. I suppose l formed an impression through use while driving that the whole unit was resisting me but l find that's not the case. I do use the downspeed fairly frequently when the blower control automatically selects high as l find it a bit loud & distracting.
Ho hum, well consider this thread closed & thanks for your replies.
