For example, in our country, in the Czech Republic, it is not possible to buy the correct struts for the hood and trunk. In length and force of pressure. So I took the right one from Ali for a 15usd pair.

I’ve been using a stick for years now without much thought on the matter.
Until last month when it came down on my MOT inspectors head. He was OK fortunately but my MOT failure list was where he took his revenge. It got a thorough inspection though
