I always liked the style of the ZT and bought my first one back in 2005, it feels a nice solid car and handles well. The V6 sounds nice as well, and the fuel economy wasn't really an issue for me.
Having now got a Mk2 ZT I actually think this is a better car in terms of ride comfort, with the slightly softer suspension and I have put a lot of the Mk1 PPD bits back as well so I now have the car I think the ZT should have been. |

Many reasons for me - here are a few in no particular order:
Interior ambiance and comfort Rarity Ride / handling balance Balance of performance and economy Ease of driving (auto ) Relatively cheap to run Aftermarket/community support I also like that I own the car outright and that it's not some generic piece of rented German tat.

Virtually everything that everyone has said so far, but the best is that there is NO DEPRECIATION, and in fact prices are steadily rising if you look on Autotrader and EBay.

It's everything with the 75 that appeals to me. I love driving it, it's rarity these days, and getting rarer, but for me, there is not another car on the roads today that comes anywhere close to the 75.
In a couple of years time I may revert to using it as a weekend car rather than a daily drive. But it's a diesel, just turned 100k, and certainly good for a couple of hundred thousand more miles on the M47, so...maybe I will just carry on enjoying the 75 experience. |

Almost always owed something British often something with a V8 in it so when I decided to take the Discovery 3 of the road for some TLC and needed a decent load logger seemed a no brainer to buy one that had slipped thought the net either a tourer or ZT-T.
Opted out of the V8, cost wasn't an issue but most are far too nice to live on farm, so V6 ZT-T it was and my only regret is I didn't do it sooner, what a fantastic car, genuinely deserving of the MG badge, it really is a toss up whether to take the ZT-T or a TF (TF always wins if the sun is out ).

must admit, just bought a new jeep grand cherokee limited and i gotta say a heap of power and very comfortable but i took my zt 180 out the other day and it still puts a smile on my face.
Bit like driving a go kart compared to the jeep but great all the same. |

1 - I OWN IT!
2 - I don't want anything else and of course, no depreciation/I know it thoroughly (do all my own maintenance/cheap to run (lpg converted, about 11p/mile fuel cost)/and I like it for comfort, style, looks etc. Stewart |

I just posted this elsewhere, however I feel like posting it here too, so I'm going to-------
Here's a thought for you long term Rover owners in these troubling times.--- The fear of travel is really bad, You'll end up twitching or even mad. To give it up would be a dream, But then you wake and start to scream. Another day, a day in hell, You'd risk the train but what a smell. Those unwashed bodies you surround, another thing, that awful sound. People coughing, sneezing germs, you'll never, ever come to terms. Public transport will take you far, but you'd much rather go by car. Your private, quiet, lovely space, The grin starts creeping 'cross your face. You snuggle down, you spin the wheel, you rocket off, your tyres squeal. This affair will never be over because you simply Love your Rover. A nonny mouse.---- It's me, really.---Lol. __________________ |

My sentiments exactly, comfort has always come first with me and as for style, I have not seen a better looking car than the 75.
