MOT Pass
Well the Pearl passed her 14TH MOT this morning, a bit disappointed though she had four advisories for tyres, Slightly/Damaged/ Perished, any recommendations on makes and sizes, she rides on seventeens at the moment. Cheers. Rev. |

Congratulations on the pass.
I like my Avon ZV7's and both Uniroyal Rainsport 3's and Continental's seem to have quite a following. My tourer is on 16" Union wheels so maybe there's something "better" for 17" rims . Good luck with your tyre shopping and congrats once again on the pass . |

well done on the pass
I used to always go for Uniroyal RS3's until a few years ago. Fantastic tyre in terms of grip even in the wet it would handle like you're driving in dry conditions.... BUT the tyres would wear down stupidly fast. I was getting about 5-6000 miles at best out of them. I now use Nexens, can't remember the model off the top of my head but know they were A wet grip rated. These are just as good as the RS3's although a little slippery until you wear them in, but last way longer. I fitted them to the typhoon about 3 years ago, must have covered about 8-10k miles in that time and still have loads of tread on them. I always get my tyres from camskill. |

Congrats on the pass Rev. I use Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 which imho are great quiet tyres with good fuel and rain ratings. Reasonable price too
Happy Christmas and stay safe

Congrats on the pass.
I've been using Conti's ever since I got into zt ownership, a tyre that never ever gave me a moment. But since my drive to work involves driving on the m25 they felt like they were wandering slightly due to the wear in the concrete surface. So I decided to try some Goodyear eagle f1's and so far so good. |

Of course it passed. Hi Jules. I have always put Goodyear EfficentGrip on the diesel 195/65/15.
On the 16 inch Forked Spokes I had refurbed, I put Avon Z5 and they seem not much different to the EfficentGrip for performance. These are now fitted to the KV6 auto, and I find that if you get away quite quick, they do tend to skid. Overall I would have the EfficentGrip.
